Resin/Metal
Bond Diamond Wheels
|
|
The
selection of diamond wheels depends on the following parameters, shape
& size, bond, grit, concentration and depth of impregnation. Diamond
wheels chosen should be of maximum diameter, strong and sturdy for better
strength. For machine grinding, rim width should be smaller than the depth
of diamond impregnation. For grinding larger surfaces narrow rims and
deep diamond impregnations are suitable.
The choice of bond depends on the use. SUNRAJ INDUSTRIES offers both Resinoid and Metal Bonds. Resinoid bonds are more suited to fine grinding, smooth and very rapid cutting action in both dry and wet grinding conditions. Metal Bonds are also used for both dry and wet grinding. |
SUNRAJ INDUSTRIES diamond
wheels are used on all universal tool and cutter grinding machines, lathe
tool grinding machines, engraving tool grinding machines, creep feed grinding,
for rough grinding, for use on surface grinding and cylindrical grinding
machines, and for sharpening and grinding, chamfering of tungsten tipped
tools, primarily after finish grinding and for resharpening on the machine.

To order SRI Diamond Wheels the following particulars should be provided : |
1) Shape of the wheel. | |
2) Dimension diameter (D), width (W), depth of diamond impregnation (X), bore (H), and thickness (T)
3) Size of the diamond grit
4) Diamond Concentration
5) Bond | |
6) Material to be processed
7) Grinding wet or dry | |
8) Material on which it is to be used.
Also if possible provide the following additional information as it is useful for the manufacture of the diamond wheel. |
|
1) R.P.M at which wheel would rotate
2) Feed rate. | |
3) Work holding details.
4) Machine particulars
5) Manual or automatic operations |

Internal
Diamond Grinding Wheels (IDGW)
|
Internal
Diamond Grinding Wheels are used for small diameter grinding and high
speed grinding. Diamonds are bonded in a special form matrix which provides
a wide range of internal grinding capabilities.
Advantages : Internal Grinding Wheels enables faster stock removal, generates more production. |

Bond Diamond Mounted Wheels & Points (MBDMWP)
|
Diamonds
used for these are carefully selected according to the application. They
are then mounted firmly onto the shank and or in matrix, which are determined
based on its nature and its usage as given below:-
1) Single Point 2) Multi point 3) Impregnated 4) Forming Application : 1) Diamond mounted points are used for precise small hole jig on carbide, ceramics, sapphire, glass and variety of tough, super alloys. 2) For grinding on tough, high carbon, high chrome steel use CBN mounted points. |

Hones/ Diamond Honing Sticks (DHS)
|
Diamond hones/Diamond honing sticks
are made of different grit sizes. The diamond particles are bonded by
specially developed matrix, so that the hardness of which itself acts
as an abrasive action during the performance. This is used for machining
cast iron parts, engine cylinder, hydraulic and pneumatics cylinders and
other components for the automobile industries. Diamond hones raise the
quality of bored holes during years of heavy-duty application under all
conditions. These tools have the capacity of producing all types of bores
ranging from long, short, through bores, blind bores and stepped bores,
with the same or differing diameter to the required standards of surface
finish, dimensional accuracy and tolerance.
Special features : 1) Long tool life as compared to abrasive hones. 2) Large volume of stock removal. 3) Optimum accuracy of shape and exact geometry. 4) Precise unvarying bone quality. 5) Required surface quality with excellent sliding properties and precise adjustments to suit the task in hand. |
