       Single Point Diamond Dressers have a single whole crystal diamond sintered at the top enabling better bonding efficiency. The size of the diamond depends upon the size of the grinding wheel, which has to be dressed. Multi-Point/Cluster Type Diamond Dressers (MPD)
 
       Multi-Point/Cluster Type Diamond Dressers contains an alternating number of small high quality diamonds grouped in one layer, positioned accurately and set in a proper design to replace large single point diamond. It consist of clusters of 3,5,7,9,13 and 17 small diamond set in various configurations for dressing larger or coarser and harder grinding wheels.

Multi-Point Roller/Rotary Type Dressers (MPRD)
 
       The roller dresser is having number of diamonds on its periphery. The diamonds are arranged in series. As soon as the diamonds on the indexed position are completely used up, the roller can be re-adjusted on the shank for new points. The diamonds can be completely used up and resetting is redundant. Since more than one point comes in contact with the grinding wheel the work load on the diamonds are evenly divided and so the diamonds last long which results in long life of dressers.

Application :
1) Used for larger wheels, where fine dressing is considered important.
2) Also used for cylindrical grinders.

Advantages :
1) The diamonds are completely used.
2) The workloads on the diamonds are divided and hence the diamonds last longer.

Multi-Point Indexable Crown Type Dressers (MPCD)
 
       A multi-point diamond dresser is one in which, sharp natural diamonds are set in a circular crown at right angle to the operating plane. As soon as the diamonds on the indexed position are completely used up, the crown can be readjusted on the shank for the new points. The diamonds can be completely used up and resetting is redundant. Shanks for the crown dresser are made to customer's specification.

Application :
1) Used for larger wheels, where fine dressing is considered important.
2) Also used for cylindrical grinders.

Grit Impregnated Diamond Dresser
 
       In this particular type of diamond dressers small diamond particles are mixed with a special grade of tungsten carbide powder and sintered to a particular shape. Impregnated diamond dressers are available in coarse, medium and fine diamond grit sizes.

Advantages :
1) Diamond particles are totally consumed when used in grinding machines for grinding operations.
2) It has a long life since the load is divided on many particles in a tough durable matrix, forming an impregnated tip.

Application :
       Diamond grit impregnated dresser are used in dressing resin, vitreous and rubber bond, fine grit and even so called "grit-free" grinding wheels, as well as boron carbide grinding wheels, dressing single profile threaded and V-profile grinding wheels, for general dressing operations on centreless, cylindrical and surface grinding machines.

Blade Type Diamond Dressers (BTDD)
 
       In these type of dressers the diamonds are arranged in layers. Diamonds used are having same flatness and quality and are set in an interlocking arrangements, which gives a unique advantage of immediately exposing and utilizing the second layer when the first layer of diamonds are completely used up.

Application :
1) This type of dressers are used for cylindrical grinding, crankshaft grinding, centreless grinding, angular grinding, automatic cycle grinding and profile grinding.
2) It is also used on all types of large grinding wheels where fine profile dressing is important.

Advantages :

1) Combines the advantages of chisel diamond dresser with those of multi-diamond tools.
2) Narrow working edge is held absolutely constant until completely used up.

Grit Impregnated Type Roller/Rotary Type Dressers
 
Roller dressers are designed for continuous precision profiling of wheels used on long production run of identical components. The roller dresser is impregnated with high concentrations of diamonds to minimize the space between the diamonds.
